The acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, lamented on Thursday that mothers of cyber fraudsters, popularly known as Yahoo boys, are now organising themselves into an association. Magu, who addressed journalists at the Lagos office of the commission in Ikoyi, said such parents always justify their children’s activities with the argument that they were supporting their families in the place of irresponsible, runaway or dead fathers. Magu said the EFCC had now begun to appeal to parents as well as the media to join the war against cybercrime by not celebrating unexplained wealth. He said beyond arrest and prosecution, the anti-graft agency would see to the rehabilitation of Yahoo boys and channel their intelligence and talents into positive ventures that would benefit the nation. Update, November 1 2019 (2:00AM ET): Google quietly began testing an incognito mode in Google Maps back in September. Fortunately, the waiting is over as the search giant has announced that the feature is now rolling out for Android users. The company made the announcement via its Google Maps support forum (spotted by Android Police ), adding that incognito mode is rolling out in stages. So give it a few days if you don’t see it on your device just yet. To activate the feature, you simply have to launch Google Maps, tap your profile picture, and “turn on incognito mode.” Google adds that enabling incognito mode in the app doesn’t affect how your activity is used by other apps, other Google services, or internet providers. A middle-aged woman, Falilat Olatunji, was on Wednesday arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly stealing a four-month-old baby boy in Abeokuta. We learned that the suspect was arrested following a report by one Alhaji Abdul Akeem Dawodu, who reported at Sabo Ilupeju Police Station that one Ms. Taiwo Bello was washing her clothes behind the house at Iyana Kajola, Mile 2, Abeokuta; leaving her four-month-old baby, Ibrahim Bello, sleeping in the room. She reportedly got back to the room and discovered that the baby had been taken away by an unknown person. It was said that the woman raised alarm, which attracted a lot of people to the house. Two children, who were kidnapped from Gombe State and taken to Anambra State, have been reunited with their parents. The children were kidnaped while playing along with other children in their parents’ compound. The three suspects are; Patience Opia from Cross River, Ejece Obi, from Anambra State and Blessings John from Bauchi State. Parading the suspects, the Anambra State Commissioner for Police, John Abang, through the state Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed, said the children were kidnapped from Gombe State and were rescued in Anambra State, through intelligence network of security operatives in the state. According to him, the children who were rescued and put in the welfare department of the police, on sighting their parents, rushed and held them.
