Don’t like glasstic? Leaker says all Galaxy S22 phones have glass backs

  • The base Samsung Galaxy S22 will have a glass back, according to a leaker.
  • This claim comes after the vanilla S21 was the only S21 model to have a plastic back.

One of the more controversial tweaks for Samsung in recent years was the introduction of a “glasstic” back on some flagship phones, being plastic that’s meant to feel like glass. On the one hand, the material should survive a drop better than glass. But on the other hand, it’s clearly a cost-cutting measure and some people feel that glass is simply a more premium material to use.

Now, frequent tipster Ice Universe has claimed on Twitter that all three Galaxy S22 series phones will indeed be using glass backs. You can view a screenshot of the tweet below.
