The Chiba Lotte Marines hosted the Rakuten Eagles with no spectators in the stands at Zozo Marine Stadium in Chiba Prefecture on Saturday, one of six preseason baseball games played at empty stadiums. The Yomiuri Giants, Japan’s oldest and most popular team, played Saturday night’s game against the Yakult Swallows at an empty Tokyo Dome. Nigerian Churches have been instructed by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), to provide make water, soap and hand sanitizers for worshippers before and after service, beginning from Sunday, as hygienic measures against COVID-19 otherwise known as coronavirus. CAN General Secretary, Joseph Daramola, in a statement released a while ago, called on politicians and other health care system managers not to politicise the matter but join hands with local and international authorities and partners to ensure the disease does not spread beyond Lagos. France is banning all indoor public gatherings of more than 5,000 people to slow its snowballing spread of coronavirus cases and recommending that people no longer greet each other with kisses. The number of French cases almost doubled, to 100, on Saturday. Of those 86 are hospitalized, two have died and 12 have recovered, said the head of France’s national health service, Jerome Salomon.
